One day I looked out the window to see one solo Sandhill Crane standing in the mud of the slough. After living in this house for a few years this was the first time I’d seen this visitor. I’d dreamed about it for months before bringing this memory to metal.
Handcrafted using metal sheet and a hand-saw, the crane is sawed from copper and the rest of the piece is made in sterling silver. This pendant feature a bright orange spiny oyster cab representing the sun. The chain is a simple chain link, measuring 18-20”.
